Distress Centre Niagara is a non-profit charitable organization providing 24-hour emotional support and crisis intervention by telephone to anyone in need in the Niagara Region.  Distress Centre has been providing this free, confidential service for over 35 years.  In 2008, 11,663 calls were received.
