Out of Region Services
Distress Centre Niagara proudly provides emotional support, crisis/suicide prevention and intervention for anyone in need in the Niagara Region. We are able to offer this service through the support of United Way Niagara, private donations and the Niagara community at large.
We encourage those seeking support from outside the Niagara Region to utilize services in their community.
If you are feeling like you have lost hope and are struggling to cope, if you are dealing with thoughts of suicide or are worried about someone else, 9-8-8 : Suicide Crisis Helpline is available 24/7. Call or text 9-8-8 toll free any time.
If you are wanting to speak with someone directly through telephone services, distress and crisis resources across Ontario can be found by contacting Ontario 211 services at www.211ontario.ca or selecting resources under the get help tab found at www.dcontario.org.
We thank our Niagara community for their ongoing support of Distress Centre Niagara and for allowing our responders the privilege of sharing in the lives of so many Niagara residents.
